Vital Signs: Pulse & Respirations Practice
PRACTICE!
FOR MOST PURPOSES: Rather than auscultate, palpate for radial pulse, and
hold resident's hand/wrist with yours on the resident's chest, so you can SEE and
FEEL the rise & fall of the chest for respirations better (without the resident
knowing what you are counting). Breath In + Breath Out = 1 Respiration.
Lots of Practice with a partner will make perfect!
